Create Dialogue Between in Charlottesville, VA.

We MUST have dialogue with people from all over the city, county, and surrounding counties in order to move forward. We MUST set an example for our children. We must begin to heal our wounds. We must TALK to each other in order to move our city forward.

Letter to
Charlottesville City Council and Government Leaders
I am writing you as a concerned citizen of this city who feels that it is time for Charlottesville to make a concerted effort to ensure that our city moves forward. The issue of race is one that is very troublesome in this city, and furthermore, has many different opinions across this land. For some, race is an epidemic that plagues Charlottesville and is a barrier that almost seems impossible to overcome. For others, race is not a factor at all, and the issue there in itself needs to be placed on the back burner. How do we get to a happy medium? This can only occur by openly discussing our differences and working to overcome them. The citizens of Charlottesville have collectively signed this petition to charge city leaders to commit to pledging to ALWAYS make an effort to CONTINUOUSLY have discussions revolving race, injustices, and progression for all people of this great city. We are charging that from this day forth, the city government will pledge to commit to hosting monthly discussions revolving race, injustices, and progression for everyone across the city. We are charging that from this day forth, there will never be any more than two consecutive months without open dialogue revolving race, injustices, and progression.
