COVID-19 cases have been on an extreme rise recently. New variants, such as the extremely contagious Omicron, have led to daily cases rising to over 1,000,000 on January 3rd, 2022. Several high schools, such as Ardrey Kell, already have various teachers and students out due to COVID-19, and these numbers will only increase. With several students and faculty being high-risk or having family members who are high-risk, remaining in an in-person learning environment is dangerous. Switching to an online learning environment is best for the well-being of all.
