My friend  age 17 (18 on the 5th of February) is the victim of physical and mental abuse, her abuser being her aunt who has custody of her. One day her aunt started to hit on her and gave her bruising on her arm it wasn’t a safe space anymore she talked to a social worker and her doctor and they all agreed that she should stay elsewhere because they knew she wasn’t safe. She’s been staying at our house and has been happier than when she was staying at her aunts. She finally had food provided. Her social worker has    Now told my mom that she’s in huge legal problems for letting my friend stay. We feel like that law is very wrong kids should feel safe if not at home. Unless my mom kidnapped her and she expresses that my mom kidnapped her. Help us change this dumb law stop letting kids get murdered by family that doesn’t care about them.
