Why this petition matters

Started by Patricia Salomon

This change will impact my community because I want others to be informed about a massacre that took place 100 years ago. I want this event to be taught in schools so everyone will know we don't only celebrate memorial day.

To start off, the Tulsa race massacre happened on May 31 and June 1, 1921, while mobs of White citizens, a lot of them deputized and given guns via way of means of town officials, attacked Black citizens and destroyed houses and agencies of the Greenwood District in Tulsa, Oklahoma, US.
