On December 28th a magazine was found at the McGlynn Wlementary/Middle School in the Auditorium. It was stated that “On or about December 29, 2017, over the school vacation break, the professional cleaning company assigned to the McGlynn School found a magazine clip, not a weapon, under a seat in the McGlynn School Theater. The cleaning company turned said clip over to the in-house custodian who then locked it away in the principal’s office.
McGlynn Middle School Principal Jake Edwards was in his office on December 30, 2017, for the purpose of cleaning his office and he claims he threw several items away that could have included the “clip”

With this being said why did it take so long to get reported to the families of Medford especially after the deadly shooting in Florida? Why was it that someone who heard rumors have to bring it to the police and not the custodian(s) or cleaner(s).

They put loaded magazine clip on a shelf in principals office - Superintendent Belson

“At the time we felt it was an isolated incident. Something that was not dangerous. Bullets do not fire themselves”. Superintendent Belson
