Revere Beach must be closed immediately due to an alarming rise of COVID-19 cases. As of March 31st, there are 140 confirmed cases and five residents at the Jack Satter  house have sadly lost their lives. Mayor Brian Arrigo has yet to take the drastic but absolutely necessary measure of temporarily shutting down the beach to the public. The mayor's attempt at using a bullhorn this past weekend to remind beachgoers to practice social distancing is not an effective measure. Revere Beach's close proximity to Boston and its lax parking restrictions will result in more people congregating here especially on the weekends. Please temporarily close the beach to the public so our beloved community can stay safe during this unprecedented global health crisis.
