More than 14,000,000 tons of single-use styrofoam is produced globally each year, and at least 25,000,000,000 styrofoam cups are disposed of annually in the U.S. alone. That's three cups per single person on Earth. The only way to dispose of styrofoam is through burning it and releasing extremely toxic chemicals into the ozone layer, furthering depletion. You can take a stand and fight for Massachusetts to become the second state to ban polystyrene, alongside Maine, by taking a moment or two to sign this petition and share it with friends. Together, we can get the attention of the lawmakers and contribute to the national stance against climate change.
