My senior year of college is being massively reduced in value, and what I thought would be my most impactful and meaningful year will now likely be my least. On top of all that, the increase in tuition this year was unmatched by financial aid, and the amount I have to pay out of pocket (no help from my parents) has increased from about $450 to $2000. I can barely front the bill, and I find myself asking why I’m paying such a large portion of my savings for such a reduced service.

I am delaying my education because of how expensive Chapman’s tuition and I know of countless others that are doing the same. If Chapman cared for its students’ financial well-being and importance of graduating on time, they should do some form of tuition reimbursement.

I am attending Chapman this year and agree with this statement 100%, for any college that is! I am going to a university partially for the college experience and I don’t want to pay thousands to take a general education class I could take online through my local community college.

I want to feel cared about and not taken advantage of by higher education. It was hard as hell already to find open classes and now this.
