Paul Phillips started this petition to Channel 7 Australia

Ben Cousins is a fallen Australian football star with a long history of drug abuse, and has served jail time for multiple breaches of a violence restraining order against him by an ex-partner. He has been given multiple second chances by the football community, and squandered them all.

Channel 7 Australia is planning a big interview with him conducted by Basil Zempilas, who is a long-time friend, ensuring it will not be an objective interview.

Australia is still reeling from the horrific murder of Hannah Clarke and her three children by her ex-partner, himself associated with sporting activities, and subject to a restraining order filed against him.

Air time should not be given to a drug addict sports star who has been convicted of breaching a restraining order against him by an ex-partner. Sports stars in Australia seem to get given a "free pass" when it comes to committing crimes. This interview will only perpetuate the idea that he was "driven" to breach the restraining order because of "unreasonable" actions by his ex-partner. His actions and opinions should not be validated or vindicated by a nationally televised interview conducted by someone who has no objectivity in the matter.

Please urge Channel 7 Australia to dump this interview and make clear that it does not support domestic abusers in any way, shape or form.
