As a country near the Pacific Region Philippines are prone to typhoons and floods which usually start in the month of June. Similarly, the start of classes is during the same month. Therefore, students and teachers experience difficulties specially when they have to commute from school to their respective homes while dealing with floods and heavy traffic. Severe typhoons and floods could also cause damage to most schools which would disrupt classes. Therefore, the best thing to do in order to respond to such cases is to adjust the school calendar and be able to reduce the risks in dealing with such natural calamities. School could start during the month of august and align it to college school calendar.

We have always been open to positive changes especially in the educational system because of the big role of education in securing quality human life. We have no complaints to colleges and universities opting to shift their school calendars to adjust with foreign counterparts. That is how globalization works. One cannot globalize without adjusting. The state and educational institutions involved however in the gaps that are expected to result from the transition

And also, feared of attending school during the hottest month? So you're not scared attending school during rainy season in which we experience very strong typhoon that could probably can put our lives into danger.

And lastly, opening of classes in August or September would also give students from agricultural families and communities more time to participate in a charity race. If the measure, passed into law, would also ease the burden of parents who deal with multiple school calendars.
