Why this petition matters

Started by Janele Murray

My daughter was in a domestic situation in the state of Virginia, she left went into a woman’s shelter. She left that shelter with my granddaughter who at the time was 8months old being only breastfeed. My daughter went back to the baby dad because he said he wanted to co-parent etc.. well now it’s a week and my daughter co-parented like they agreed to she had the father watch the baby while she went to pamper herself when returning to get my granddaughter she was greeted with a door slamming in her face.. no law enforcement or cps could help her get my granddaughter back. They say if the baby isn’t endanger then my daughter has to wait until her court hearing which is a month away. So a breastfeed baby will go without because of her being able to eat baby food they law enforcement and cps said she fine. This isn’t just trauma to my granddaughter but my daughter breast milk is drying up and pumping only goes so far without my granddaughter being feed. Not to mention that the father is suicidal and has committed acts on himself. Yet they don’t deem him unfit.. No one knows exactly where he is and law enforcement doesn’t care. This state and its laws on parenting has to change because someone needs to be responsible if something happens to my granddaughter.
