Change the UTAS KPMG Campus Student Lounge

Change the UTAS KPMG Campus Student Lounge
Why this petition matters
This petition has full support from both TUSA (Tasmanian University Student Association) and TUBES (Tasmanian University Business and Economics Society)
At the commencement of semester 2 the KPMG student lounge was moved due to renovations. COBE's (College of Business and Economics) response was to move the student lounge into a small, windowless room. This room has been described as a "glorified waiting room", "Lifeless" and "lacks the facilities for a student lounge". Despite numerous complaints the business school refuses to change anything this year, we believe this is not ok.
The lack of community atmosphere is mainly due to the fact that no windows are present within the room. With little power points and no supplies from the previous lounge being present is something that all student spaces require. With the new online learning model, business students only have contact with people in their degree, sometimes only once every three weeks. Meaning those business students who already study the majority of their content online than most other degrees require study spaces. Combined with the fact that the room is almost 1/3 of the space, there are no spaces for social interaction without students who wish to study.
We need change and we need change now so please use your voice and sign our petition which we will be taking directly to COBE next week.
