Today Semester at Sea revealed its new logo as we all know. Semester at Sea as been doing voyages since 1963. The logo has undergone small changes but have all been very similar. This logo have become iconic and very well known over the course of 59 years and almost 130 voyages coming this fall. When Semester at Sea released the logo earlier today there was an outcry from Alumni and future voyagers about the new logo. The consensus seems to be that they want the old logo back. When looking at the old logo you can tell it is very professional and belongs to a very established, prestigious organization. When looking at the new logo it screams cruise and well essentially what everyone that doesn't know what it is calls it a "booze cruise". For 130 voyages, future SASers, before they embarked always looked forward to walking up to the ship and seeing that iconic logo and taking a picture in front of it. I have seen videos of people crying of excitement when seeing it. Now I haven't seen it yet since I will be going on Spring 2023 and when I found out that the logo changed today I was devastated. Talking to my fellow Spring 2023 voyagers today, they were also disappointed. We loved the iconic logo and think that it should stay. 

I am asking alumni and future voyagers to sign this petition in hope that Semester at Sea will see our passion for the old logo and bringing it back.
