We feel as if this issue is inconsiderate due to the majority of students coming from Latino backgrounds. It feels as if this was racially motivated. Having an Encanto themed prom is something a child would have for their birthday party. It excludes other ethnicities and us the students should have some say in the theme since its OUR prom. In the events of prom we should switch it to a masquerade party since it gives people an option to stay safe for themselves in a pandemic while having fun and looking cute. Also it’s a must better theme then Encanto.
