Dresscode is horrible. The dresscode is teaching teenage girls to victim blame. Instead of telling young teenagers to “cover up” or to “change their clothes” how about we teach people to not sexualize teenagers? I have been dresscoded for ripped jeans showing my lower thigh. LEGS ARE NOT SEX ORGANS! Getting dresscoded for wearing a bra to school is understandable but ripped jeans? I have also seen people get dresscoded for wearing shirts with celebrities showing skin. What??? I have seen someone get dresscoded for a Selena Quintanilla shirt because Selena was wearing spaghetti straps. That is NOT fair to us. They say the dresscode is so that the men “don’t get distracted” IF OUR MEN STAFF/STUDENTS CAN GET DISTRACTED BY A 12-15 YEAR OLD BODY THAT IS THEIR PROBLEM AND UNACCEPTABLE. Join me on our peaceful protest to change the LMAAC dresscode.
