Why this petition matters

Started by Aaron Barker

From personal ongoing experience, the UK government and the current laws surrounding the safeguarding and support for women and children who have suffered domestic abuse is failing at every law and every step. The victims are being victimised further by out dated ideologies and laws based on an ideological fantasy. They push to force the perpetrators and victims together to create a 'fixed' family image. They ignore plea's and input from mothers who are trying to safeguard themselves and their children, just so that these ideological fantasies can be 'achieved'. Many women have been murdered by their ex partners as a direct result of this ridiculous aim and fantasy that the UK legal system persues. When will enough be enough and when will the next victim die at the hands of their perpetrator? It's time this law is changed and action is taken to restore safety to their lives before any more devastation is allowed.

Please sign this petition and bring this to the UK government's attention.

There are so many more points to be covered but this is an outline that we need to work from.
