Many people in Bogalusa are just finding out that we will be getting an Opioid Treatment Facility/Methadone Clinic in our town. Although there is an absolute need for a facility like this, the projected location of 412 Ave. B is a poor choice!  This location is very near to Bogalusa High School, Annunciation Catholic School, Resource Bank, The Post Office, The YMCA, Goodyear Park and several churches. There is a facility like this that was opened in Baton Rouge and it completely changed the area. The homeless population around the facility has exploded.  This does not need to be located in such close proximity to our children! We are urging our officials to help in any way that they can.  Again, this is a need in our community just asking for support in moving the Methadone Clinic to a more appropriate location.
