Kaplan Management Company has recently started development on a project at Lexington and Birnham Woods in Harmony called the Villas at Birnham Woods.

This development area was originally part of Harmony Commercial Association and would have been required to follow our neighborhood's guidelines for aesthetics and development. On October 20,2021, the original developer Land Tejas, annexed this development area out of the Harmony Commercial Association to allow for lower development standards. Land Tejas then sold this development area to Kaplan Management. By moving the development area out of our Harmony Commercial Association, Kaplan Management is not held to our bylaws and standards and is able to build at a much lower quality than our community deserves and expects.

Both Kaplan Management and Land Tejas have ignored the concerns of residents regarding the development. By signing this petition, you will be showing your support to address this visually unappealing complex. The threat of Kaplan Management building below our Harmony Commercial Association standards is the negative impact to property values in Harmony, Benders Landing, and our surrounding communities.
