As a milestone event in the lives of high school students, Prom should work towards enhancing the experiences of all those involved. Recognizing this monumental moment, it is disheartening when the designated theme does not resonate with the students of our school. "Dress to Impress", the current theme for our 2025 Prom, might speak to some, but does it truly capture the spirit of our collective experiences and pop culture references?

An alternative idea proposed by the student body is the beloved movie "La La Land" which deeply resonates with many of us. Its theme of pursuing one's dreams against all odds and finding beauty in the everyday is a message that holds true for us as high school students. La La Land is a beloved film among students. Hopefully, the messages and themes in the movie can resonate with the students and serve as a symbol for our lives.

We respectfully hope to switch our Prom theme from "Dress to Impress" to "La La Land". Our request is not extravagant, but humble, fueled by the desire to celebrate our significant high school milestone in the most beautiful and meaningful way to as many people as possible. Our administration and ASB embody the Tiger traits of care, support, and understanding to our student body. We call upon those in administration and ASB now to allow us to celebrate our Prom night in a way that maximizes everyone's best experience.
