After being told that our U14's would no longer be able to play for District to compete for County because of the local clause relating to players beeing snatched up by Wasps or Worcester.  Several of our Players trialed for the Wasps DPP and some were successful, some not.  Why would the ones who were not successful then not be able to play for district as marked in the guideline below.

15.7.3 Membership of a Constituent Body’s Developing Player Programme (DPP)/Elite Player Development Group (EPDG) or an Academy does not entitle a Player to play for that Constituent Body if the Player does not satisfy one of the criteria set out in 15.7.2. 15.7.4 Where a player has not been selected for a Constituent Body the Divisional Chairman of Selectors may allow the Player to play for another Constituent Body for which the Player is not qualified if it is in the interests of the Player’s development.

A lot of local Clubs are being stripped of their talented Players who then may not make it with Wasps and Worcester sometimes then causing to quit playing rugby rather than going back cap in hand as they were not successful.  Teams are short of Players and Players should have the Opportunity of game time else where rather than being sat on the Bench week in week out. 

We need to try and change this to give all of our Boys the best opportunities, they should take any opportunities they get in life not have them stifled.  Please sign this petition for an ammendment to this palm greasing regulation by the RFU who talk about their regulations being for Player Welfare.
