Stop Change.Org Making Fake News to Get Signatures

When I signed and shared a petition on Change.org, I had no idea that Change.org would us this to make fake news.
When I looked at my Facebook timeline, the headline was "Can you spare a minute to help Safiye Connor?"
and underneath the text read "Please save my son Alfie by allowing him to legally use medical cannabis"
Any of my friends/ colleagues/ acquaintances were being lead to believe that the petition was about my child and that my child had a serious illness. They may have been driven to sign the petition because of this.
This is not an honest way to run campaigns and I was very shocked that Change.org would operate in this way. I wrote to Change.org to bring it to their attention and to ask them to stop manipulating people in this way. I was told that my feedback would be passed on to the development team. When I asked for the outcome of my complaint I received the following in bold type:
"I have not heard back from them, and cannot guarantee that we will be able to change this feature in the future."
Change.org have not acknowledged what happened or that it is misleading, or that they will stop publishing on people's Facebook pages in a way that broadcasts untruths about them. I do not feel that Change.org can be trusted with petitions and Campaigns unless they change this practice. There are plenty of other petition platform providers who do not operate in this way.
Therefore I have started this petition to ask that Change.org confirm that they have stopped this practice and show that they have a policy to stop things like this happening again and to ensure that none of their information is manipulative or misleading.
