Time and time again we’ve been failed by our education system, by our school, but more specifically by our principal. As women, as students, but above all as people we shouldn’t have to take this. According to many students, there have been over four fights, a girl who overdosed in our halls, and a foursome in the bathrooms, all of which our parents have NOT been notified about, many of the the students believe that this is because our new principal works towards the school image above her students needs. For example, according to witnesses, the girl who Overdosed wasn’t even in the right class, Imagine if she was a threat to my fellow student’s safety. Our principal obviously doesn’t care or might’ve not even thought about that, seeing as none of our parents were notified of this, you could argue that all of those were out of our principal’s control and I’d agree with you. She can however, control how she reacts and instead of prioritizing our students safety and taking care of us, she decides to lockdown on our female students outfits. The “taboo” clothing including 

- leggings (which most of the female students wear for comfort and in place of shorts, which we are also not allowed to wear if they’re Not a certain length, for gym)

- sweatpants (another piece of dress that we wear in place of shorts for gym class, and for our own comfort despite sweatpants being full coverage)

- PJ pants, which you could argue is because our principal wants us as students to look presentable but you also have to take into account financial situation and home life, not to mention the fact that pajama pants (specifically on the female students) are not gonna get in the way of our learning and if anything will only make us more comfortable at school, where we obviously are not safe.
