My Swedish friend took the Etihad Airways from Sweden to Berlin and to IGI, International Airport Delhi. India. She was told that her cabin luggage is placed in another place for safety only to find out that the luggage was lost. As it was her cabin bag she carried money and her valuables in it and did not think of locking. Who does? She made a complaint at the late hours at the Etihad center in the Airport and after numerous calls the baggage was delivered to her address after several days with all her money and valuables gone. We sent legal Letters and filed a case in The State Commission , New Delhi only to find out that Etihad Airways has ALL ITS REGISTERED OFFICES CLOSED but SERVICES ONLY THROUGH PHONE CALLS. I, on behalf of the scores of passengers who innocently take these flights to faraway lands need to be assured that should something happen to their loved ones where would they write to. No office, means no one to attend to the grave issues. My friend is unable to proceed with her case as the Notices return. I request The Aviation Minister, The Home Minister and even The External Minister to look into this breach by the Airline. All Airlines should have a working Registered office in each state for professional Business reasons. That should be the protocol. Is Etihad Airways following the Rules & Regulations of this country?
