Work to Equal Fuel prices of Ceylon Petroleum Corporation and Lanka IOC PLC

Work to Equal Fuel prices of Ceylon Petroleum Corporation and Lanka IOC PLC
As of today, there’s a Rs.5/- price gap in all essential fuels sold to the public, between Government owned Ceylon Petroleum Corporation outlets and Lanka IOC PLC owned outlets. Lanka IOC Prices remain to be expensive than petroleum corporation outlets.
Outcome of this pricing structure is that dealers of Lanka IOC PLC loose their customer base (market share) due to the price difference and therefore Lanka IOC PLC dealers find it difficult to sustain in the industry.
more than (minimum of) 6 families per every dealership (fuel pump attendees/ cleaners/ managerial positions and owners) depend on this business in order to survive and today it seems that times have become crucial due to lower fuel sales figures made at many Lanka IOC PLC retail outlets and do not know till when outlets could be operated in the present and future.
there are more than 200 retail outlets available islandwide representing Lanka IOC PLC in Sri Lanka.
Only solution to this problem is to create fair competition between all retail outlets in the country, creating a fair trade between State owned entity and Privately owned Entity.
this matter must concern to the President of Sri Lanka, Prime Minister of Sri Lanka and the Minister of Power and Energy of Sri Lanka.
