• In the last few decades, waterbodies have been under continuous and unrelenting stress, caused primarily by rapid urbanisation and unplanned growth.
• At present almost all the water bodies are encroached, due to which the water bodies area was reduced. In order to identify lake areas and boundaries, no border stones were laid.
• The public were using these water bodies for cultivation and drinking purposes. 
• Because of this, encroachments were being made day by day. Therefore, water resources were severely affected.
• Hence the water bodies should be left undisturbed for the future survival of generations.
