Petition Closed

While most Change.org petitions are reasonable, heartfelt and sincere, some are just wacko, ill informed or one sided. That’s why I’m requesting that Change.org change its format to allow respondents to sign negatively, rejecting the petition and provide the opportunity to permit reasoned debate and objection to the proposed petition.

Clicking on the email link, “Sign my Petition” should not be automatically counted as a signature, but should open a web page where the respondent has the opportunity to read about the issue, comment and chose to either support or reject the petition.

Frankly, signatures obtained after careful examination, consideration and debate, submitted with reasoned comments would carry much more weight than Pavlovian responses to cute kittens, sob stories and tales of injustice.
