The Students Of Peel started this petition to Change.org

In one of the catholic schools in the school board in the Peel region, many students have been dress-coded unjustly. The dress-code is very unfair and I hope to bring a change. It's incredibly ridiculous for a student to get in trouble for wearing spaghetti straps, off the shoulder clothes, and items of clothing that shows the shoulder area in general. It's offensive to the boys and girls in equal right. Boys are perfectly able to control themselves around females and even seemed appalled and out-righted offended that adults believe that shoulders are inappropriate for girls, and girls shouldn't be treated as a sexualized object.

It's 2019 and the code needs to change. As student myself, I got in trouble for wearing a black dress with two-finger straps as seen in this photo.

It's ridiculous that students have to spend so much time deciding what to wear in an outfit, and they deserve to express themselves. There is nothing wrong with spaghetti straps and shoulders. If anyone is concerned about someone being distracted by those things, they should teach the students about keeping their minds out of the gutter and respecting (one of the most important catholic virtues) other students; instead of punishing the ones who decided to simply wear clothes that exposes the upper arms, something everybody has.
