So many benefits to be allowed to have a few chickens…teach agriculture on a small scale, creating a self sufficient food source, natural fertilizer and  backyard entertainment. 

We are asking that the ordinance be changed to remove chickens and/ducks from the list of banned animals in Terre hill Borough. Agreement would include that chickens must be contained to your own property. Also, to be noise sensitive roosters also wouldn’t be allowed due to the primary goal being a food source and not for animal reproduction.  

Current ordinance states you must have 4-5 acres to have chickens, however a chicken really only needs 3 square feet of grass to live.

Please sign this petition to show the borough council and zoning committee that times have changed, and that the Terre hill residents would like to have the choice to have this opportunity on their property, if they want.
