Change No Gum In School

Change No Gum In School
A lot of teachers and Administrators say that there is no gum in school, but I don't feel the same way. Some teachers and people feel that it is rude, and messy to chew gum. Some people also feel that it is distracting. They think that when something is happening in class, it needs your full attention. It is also researched and shown that students who chew gum tend to do 26 to 36% better on tests. So shouldn't that already be enough? That fact right there could boost the schools' grades by a lot. And that's what school is all about. Teaching and learning. So that is boosting kids learning. Another benefit is that on tests, kids have a better chance to do better. It also helps you stay focused, concentrate, and increases oral and physical health. It can also make you so that you are more focused and more alert. Also, a lot of students aren't focused because they need to fidget or fidget with something, and gum can be that thing to do. So when students fidget with the gum, the student can listen as well. Now other people will say different things like Some kids would stick their gum all over the place and on things that the teachers have spent money on. And it can be distracting to some people. It could be distracting if one student is chewing, then another student wants some, so they give them it. Then other students want some so it is distracting and disruptive. Yes, that could be a problem, but there are always consequences. And we also have custodians for a reason. They would be doing their job. And also, teachers could make them spit out their gum. They could then say that if it happens a second time, there will be consequences.
