The problem is, the national anthem is outdated. It's been in rotation for a good 91 years. While I can appreciate history, I think we need an anthem that really speaks for the heart of our people. All of our people. What better song to do that for us than Party in the USA by Miley Cyrus?

For one, Miley is an icon, how can we deny the very woman who brought us Hannah Montana this great honor? Secondly, the song itself is far more upbeat. It can really get a party started! Isn't that what we are about here in America? Singing loud and proud, dancing as if no one were watching? 

If we don't make this change, we are stuck with a song that was penned by a dead white guy, I'm tired of everything in this country revolving around the wishes of old white men. Help me reach the people! The government! The world! I believe in us and this cause with my whole heart.
