I'm signing because there are so many ACTUAL heroes we should be celebrating. the underground railroad came through Buffalo; why would we have a statue of this dude if we could celebrate free enslaved people with more than just a plaque?

Museums and history books are for remembering history. Statues are for glorifying historic figures. We can remember Christopher Columbus without praising his racist actions.
