New Marker or sign in "stranger grounds" section of L.G. North Cem, for OUR ANCESTORS

0 have signed. Let’s get to 200!

In historic Laurel Grove North Cem in Savannah, the "strangers ground" sec, was not for "strangers to savannah" at all. But, the space was used for burials of citizens, confederate veterans, OUR ANCESTORS and their children, WHICH IS OUR KIN who passed away. Because of the war between the States, afterwards, confederate money was no good, leaving families desolate, and broke. Because of such, when they needed a burial location, the city of Savannah, GA buried them in this section. Which includes old sections, A-F, section 1 and a couple more. In a 70,000 square foot area, the city buried approx 6,000 of savannahs own. One on top of the other., 4 people deep.Today, the city doesn't want to put some type of memorial there. These 6,000 people need to be recognized. FOR THEY are OUR ancestors, and the ones who built Savannah to what it is today, and THEY are the CLEAR REASon why the city has generated MUCH REVENUE! Let's send the city of Savannah a clear reason to put a marker there, by this petition, and show them that OUR ANCESTORS LIVES MATTERED THEN, AND THEY MATTER NOW IF NOT MORE!
