No child deserves to suffer, starve or be mistreated. A family home isn’t necessarily a safe place. Covid isn’t going anywhere and despite the extra hurdles this creates, vulnerable children need protecting, deserve our help and we need to make a change. We can’t ignore what is happening under our noses. This current system failed Arthur Labinjo-Hughes and this cannot continue to happen. Photographs of bruises was still not enough. Please let’s make a change and not allow this to continue. This little boy was six years old and social services were involved and he still wasn’t able to be saved. This is a system that doesn’t work. This is another life lost too young after months of torture. The reality is that this is one of thousands of cases and we have to stand up for those that can’t do it for themselves. These children need our voice, our power and our ability to make change for them and future generations to stop this cruelty. Please do the right thing, don’t think there’s nothing you can do. Together we can make change but only can we make change together.
