The rules around import and export of eggs, sperm and embryos in Victoria needs to change. We want to remove the requirements for Varta approval for domestic imports and exports of eggs, sperm and embryos and allow the clinics to approve and manage the process. I would like to show this petition to the Health minister for this to change. Varta are the Victorian Assisted Reproductive Treatment Authority- the process for people in Victoria for anyone that wants to import or export eggs, sperm or embryos musty be approved by this board who only meet once a month to review and approve all requests because Victoria has different "rules" to every other state. This mis-alignment causes unnecessary delays and red tape to time sensitive IVF cycles. I want to push to have this process changed and would love your support to do so. :)
