Change CMS Bell Schedule

The current CMS bell schedules are detrimental to student achievement.   Research continues to show that early high school start times contribute to low academic achievement, particularly in minority and low performing groups.  Later start times result in higher test scores and graduation rates, fewer car crashes and sports injuries, less tardiness and absences, and lower rates of teen depression and suicide.  CMS needs to do what is best for our children and institute age appropriate bell schedules to give all students the best chance for academic success.
