As a resident of cheadle road, the speed limit (currently set at National speed) is far too high. I see many vehicles leaving Forsbrook Cemetery which results in many near misses. Pedestrians walking to the cemetery, take their lives into their own hands because of the 60mph speed limit. When the speed limit changes to 30mph going into the village, traffic doesn’t follow this change. With many cars still doing 40mph at least. There’s many farms along cheadle road, that again when slow moving tractors are pulling in and out, they are faced with cars that don’t have time to stop. We have encountered many accidents due to the speed of the road and bad weather conditions such as rain. This road should at least be 40mph from Forsbrook to Cheadle not the current 60mph. This road sees a lot of traffic everyday especially in peak season for Alton Towers. Anyone can sign as long as they live or work in Staffordshire.
