Chancellor Thorp and The UNC Board of Trustees: Protect Victims of False Rape Accusations
Landen Gambill’s ex-boyfriend was found not guilty of two counts of sexual misconduct by a University Hearings Board. http://www.dailytarheel.com/article/2013/03/landen-gambills-ex-unc-forced-me-out
Yet, he was suspended immediately and for months, and repeatedly harassed by psychologists, by the "guilty before proven innocent" culture on campus, and now by Mrs. Gambill--resulting in a PTSD diagnosis that rivals, or even surpasses the suffering of many real rape victims.
UNC must not allow this to happen again, and should strongly protect the rights of the victims of false rape accusations, which according to research are a significant percentage of all cases.
