The hospitality sector has shouldered the brunt of the Covid-19 pandemic across the UK. Bars, restaurants, clubs, coffee shops are the lifeblood for social well-being in the UK, these sectors are now bracing themselves for huge cost increases from utilities, wages and supply chain. To help the sector survive moving vat back to 5% on food  (as many of our EU neighbors do) or at least freeze it at 12.5% will limit the impact of price increases and allow the sector to get back on its feet.

The hospitality sector is vital for the employment of youngsters starting out that have no formal qualifications, students studying can bolster their finances and perfect their English language skills if studying from out with the UK.

The hospitality sector is vital to bring local and international tourism to our shores.

Government view many of these businesses as small family business that if they go bust someone else will pick up the pieces and reopen which has a knock on effect with people’s well-being and mental anguish.
