Free Local Channels Through Apps

Free Local Channels Through Apps
The FCC and courts have allowed the monopoly of over the air broadcasting of local TV stations. Locals are free to anyone with an antenna and in range of reception. Since 2018 the TV app, Locast, has been allowing people stream their local channels. They recently shut down due to FCC violations. This left many people stranded without local channels. What is free to some, costs money to others. This is not fair and should be against the law.
The new "over the air" should include a transmission via internet and streaming apps. The FCC and major networks should allow to stream for free. Right now, the major networks have apps. However, one must login to their service provider to gain access. Again, this leaves many people in rural communities without local channels. Personally, I live 60 miles from the closest city and there's a mountain range that separates my community with the city. Due to the location, I am unable to receive the channels with an antenna.
Again, it is unfair that some get locals and others have to pay, simply due to their location. For example, Suddenlink charges $50 for locals only. This includes the box rental, FCC charges, and the service. Once more, this is free for anyone with an antenna in close proximity of the towers. I want the law to be changed to allow people to be able to download the networks' apps and be able to stream the channels without having to sign in to have access. Many people stream cable and do not have a contract with a major provider. Stop charging for what is free. Stop making it hard for rural communities to get their locals, and stop the monopoly.
