The Azad Hind Fauj is not only historically important for the majority of Indians but has a huge emotion behind it. The Indian National Army was an armed force formed by Indian collaborators and Imperial Japan on 1 September 1942 in Southeast Asia during World War II. Its aim was to secure Free India from British rule. It fought alongside Japanese soldiers in the latter's campaign in the Southeast Asian theatre of WWII. Leaderships like Rashbehari Bose, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, Laxmi Sehegal, Gen. Mohan Singh and over 40000-50000 estimated faujis or soldiers (approximately). While incidents of bravery, of resistance and of armed revolution inspire the youth, there is no doubt that the INA men were warriors. The memorial plaque at Indira Gandhi Sarani serves as a great reminder to the sacrifices.

While our history books merely have a chapter on INA ,the red fort trials and the mutiny at the Navy and has none about the secret services, disciplinary practices and training, it is thoughtful enough to put an effort to remember those brave men, especially in a significant place like the Alipore Jail Museum. HOWEVER, WE MUST REMEMBER THAT THEY WERE SOLDIERS AND NOT SERVANTS. THUS, OUT OF RESPECT FOR THE PAST, WE KANDARI : SOCIETY FOR REVOLUTIONARY YOUTHS, DEMAND A FULL STOP TO THIS UNETHICAL AND IMMORAL DISPLAY OF VARDI on WAITERS OF THE ALIPORE JAIL MUSEUM COFFEE HOUSE.

Furthermore, we would love to see an effort made by the Government to bring forward a scholastic curriculum of about 2-3 years integrating the training of INA into a Netaji Scouts Wing fashion. 

As per a few disturbing accounts of a student slapping Netaji's idol, we know that students are misled. We would want Bengal to take a stand, and set an example to bring forth the former glory back within the youth of the state.
