The Chairman, Pakistan Engineering Council in order to gain the sympathies of young engineers have irrationally ordered to make it mandatory for contractor firms owned by senior engineers to hire RE ( registered engineer) at the time of renewal/ upgradation of Contractor/ Operators Licences. It is unjust to ask an engineer, who is self employed, to carry a burden of liability of a monthly salary of a fresh engineer even if he does not have a project. 

The engineer having 30 years experience owning a contractor firm has almost over 50 PCPs while requirement of PCPs for C - 2 Category is 35. In such case how hiring of a fresh / junior engineer is justified. 

We the senior engineers categorically reject this irrational decision of the Chairman  Pakistan Engineering Council and demand immediate withdrawal of this UNJUST DECISION and demand renewal of Contractor/ Operators Licences of Firms owned by the Engineers.

All senior engineers are requested to join us and raise their voice against the irrational, UNJUST, unilateral decision and demand immediate withdrawal of this decision.
