The MTA is the Metropolitan Transit Authority. It should exist to connect the entire metro area, not just Manhattan. Brooklyn is thriving due, in part, to its increased G train connectivity. Do not sever the connection to some of New York's most vibrant neighborhoods.

The G train is very improtant to the Greenpoint neighborhood. I and my children use it daily. This neighborhood is overcrowded so why would the MTA want to
take this away. They can't say they arte not Greenpoint always get shortchanged.

I live near the G at Lafayette Ave and take it to and from Church St. The F does not stop at Lafayette Ave. I'd need to take the G and transfer to the F, slowing down my commute - in both directions.

How could the MTA let the G miss out on the important 4th Avenue transfer? Smith & 9th St. is one of the loneliest transfers in the city. I feel much safer taking the G all the way to Church Avenue, where I can catch another essential transfer, the B35 bus.

I use the G train every day at 7th avenue and 9th street in Park Slope to get to work in Long Island City (LIC). I work at the NYC Dept. of Health, which moved all its offices to LIC in April 2011. If it is not extended, my commute woulde be longer, much less convenient and would have to transfer twice.

I live in Kensington and sometimes have to go to Williamsburg for work. I work in downtown Bklyn and the G relieves ridership on the F. Disabled son needs to commute from the LIRR at Atlantic Terminal to Kensington and G takes him without transferring from R to F at 4th AVE.
