As a musician no one but the artist his/herself should allowed to change or tamper with their work and its copyrights.

I believe John Lennon chose his words with intent and for some third rate no talent to change them for his own personal gain is unacceptable. If Cee Lo doesn't like the song he should write his own... Oh right, he can't.

Even if someone doesn't understand or agree with a lyric in a song they have NO Right to Change It- and especially now that someone like JOHN LENNON can't criticize them

Gee-Lo is welcome and free to sing whatever he wants to sing, but nobody can change the lyric of IMAGINE. John Lennon was brave to propose to imagine the world without any religion. This is why this song is classic and beautiful. Imagine all the people living life in peace--which is a difficult task when the religions comes in. Changing the meaning of the song is totally disrespectful.

John Lennon captured the interest of the world because he asked us to look beyond the boundaries. He was a man dedicated to Peace. Cee Lo is part of a "Hell and Brimstone" evangelism. Vatican City, Feb 17, 2012 (CNA/EWTN News).- In remarks to the Pope and the College of Cardinals, Cardinal-designate Timothy Dolan outlined a seven-point “creative strategy of evangelization” to counter secularism and bring people to Jesus.
Ask why was Cee Lo on NBC in New York singing Imagine on New Year's to begin with?

There are some things that need change and others that should never be changed, music reaches the hearts of many and the words cut deeply with great meaning.
