As you know, there was a vote to remove the Live Plate as part of the rules for this season's play.  This is not a simple change to the bylaws but it changes the dynamic of the game.

• injuries happen in all sports, that is the risk that players choose to take and all players sign a Waiver for this
• there are more injuries at 2nd base then there are at home plate
• we are under the umbrella of NAGAAA and all of our tournaments are live plates, if our teams are not prepared for it, there is a higher likelihood for injury

Removing the live plate takes away another step of how the game is played along with the uniqueness of our league.

There are other precautions that we can use to protect the players outside of changing the rules.

In order to reverse the decision and bring back the live plate we can petition for a Special Meeting.  We will need 8 Manager's to sign the petition to have the Special Meeting.  Please contact me directly if you would like any further details.
