CFPB FLEX - WORK WHERE WE WANT

CFPB FLEX - WORK WHERE WE WANT
Why this petition matters

WE DEMAND TO WORK WHERE WE WANT
A petition from the members of the National Treasury Employees Union Chapter 335 and bargaining unit employees of the CFPB.
Addressed to Rohit Chopra, Director of the CFPB.
We, the undersigned workers at the CFPB, demand to work where we want. We urge you to do everything in your power to ensure that:
- We can work 100% remote with a home duty station as the default and the option to request a hybrid or full-time in-office schedule at our discretion;
- We can initiate our own relocation and move to the place that works best for us and our families at our discretion; and
- We have a pandemic health and safety plan in place that protects workers, ensures "safe and healthful working conditions" that are "free from recognized hazards", and provides flexibilities for the care of family and self.
For more than two years, we have been working under unprecedented conditions imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic. While working entirely remotely, we have remained dedicated to the agency's mission and have been even more productive than before. The maximum telework posture enabled us to protect consumers and ensure fair competition in consumer financial markets, while also remaining safe from unnecessary exposure to COVID-19, and realizing many other benefits to our work-life balance. As you and every other leader of this agency have said, we have more than risen to the challenges of the past two years. It's time to turn those words of praise into action and agree that we can work where we want, permanently.
Note: You can choose not to display your name and/or comment publicly. Once 300 people sign on we will send the petition to the Director with signatures.
