Many companies label their food Gluten Free as a way to inform consumers that their product does not contain any Gluten ingredients. Although this can be helpful for some it can be confusing for those who are required to live a Gluten Free life due to allergies or Celiac disease. My hope is by changing the wording used to label these products it can be easier to distinguish which items are truly safe for these individuals to eat and which are better for those with intolerances and food sensitivities.

Being celiac myself this is something that I deal with on a daily bases and it makes it difficult when others want to make food for you, as they don't know the difference between a certified gluten free item and just something without gluten ingredients which can still be cross contaminated. Usually leading to being sick for a few days and even weeks to a month for some.

My solution is that instead of putting Gluten Free on these packages companies use No Gluten Ingredients or NGI to indicate and differentiate between truly Gluten Free and made without gluten ingredients.

Please help in assisting me to make it easier for those with Celiac disease and Gluten allergies to have peace of mind.
