It was discovered recently that the Missoula, MT Hastings store was selling a t- shirt with a scribbled (asymmetrical) face that said, "I ride a short yellow bus." A group of angry local moms, in concert with a very responsive manager, got the shirt removed from the local store, but it is disturbing that the larger corporation will profit from nationwide sales of these shirts that mock and belittle people with special needs. Discounting and disrespecting people with special needs will not be tolerated. Please remove these shirts from your shelves and your web site, Hastings, to show respect and support for the kids who really do ride the "short bus" as well as their teachers, helpers, friends, and especially families who sacrifice and give so much to give them the best possible chance in life.
