For the last 2 years we have lost so much of our education and sports activities due to COVID. We were finally told that they were going to allow a full school year including all school activities, that is until today. The District denied us from being a part of one of the biggest National Cheer Competitions in Dallas this coming January. They are claiming due to COVID they will not approve us to go out of state, however we can still do in state competitions. This makes no sense, we are allowed to go to out of town only if it is in California, however other sports are ok to go to Neveda. Our team works extremely hard and should be given the opportunity to compete in one of the biggest competitions. Not to mention you can get COVID anywhere, at school, at work, at the store, in the community and even in your own home. If all of our members are vaccinated, follow infection control, mask up and understand the risk and sign off then we should be allowed.  Please help us get our competition season back and get the District to change their mind. For a lot of us, this is our last year as we will be graduating and do not want to lose anymore of our high school activities and the opportunity to win one more title. We are asking everyone to please sign this in an effort to change the Districts decision. Thank you for supporting your local Central High School Pep and Cheer Competition Teams.
