The Baltoro Glacier in Pakistan is one of the largest glaciers outside the polar regions. It also serves as a route to 4 out of Pakistan's 8000ers (above 8000 meter peaks) and allows hundreds of climbers and trekkers a year to experience the raw beauty of the Karakorum range.

However graffiti is becoming a significant problem on the trails with groups using spray paint on rocks to advertise expeditions. This practice needs to be banned immediately as it is destroying the natural beauty of the glacier and its moraine and is extremely difficult to remove.
