The Army To Control Stockpiling At Supermarkets
The Army To Control Stockpiling At Supermarkets
The vulnerable, NHS staff and elderly are being swept aside by people's selfish attitude to stockpiling food in shops at this time of crisis. Supermarkets are clearly not able to control this adequately to ensure everyone has access to what they need. I am a disabled person in the highest at risk group and believe that others like me should not have added pressure and worry at times like this. If people will not behave decently and responsibly at a time of national crisis then please place troops in major supermarkets to prevent stockpiling, thieving from trolleys and fighting in isles over food. It is a national disgrace that people can be so thoughtless.
Troops could also drive HGV lorries to deliver more stocks to stores and ambulances to free up NHS staff especially as NHS staff are falling ill or needing to self isolate. We have the resources in the army utilise it! Let's not wait until civil unrest breaks out we can do something now to mitigate this crisis and ensure no one is without food or worse found dead in their homes from starvation. Local councils are cash strapped they cannot do all this for us. Mobilise the army now let's not wait for a pending disaster, be proactive we can pull together to get through with decency and dignity.
